U R better off rescheduling your mexico appointment - its something that could be done within next 3 to 4 months for sure. The problem of rescheduled FP is, it kind of throws your case in the back and based on ASC's load, it might take them upto an year or more (think 800,000) for them to put you in again.
Its just my opinion based on my conversation with my lawyer - since we were in S. Africa and my lawyer notified me about the FP and my lawyer blurted out what I said above.

One required initial evidence (not medical) was not included in my recently submitted 485. Is it possible to send it now without receipt before 08/17?
If it's possible, what's the proper procedure?

when i went to SS office for enquiry 1 week back, they told me that my immigration verification was not done yet. so i had to wait.
can anyone help me with this.
how many days will it took to complete the process??
is there any other way around........

It should be applied at the service center where your 485 is pending currently. Attach copy of 485 transfer notice with other required documents.

Where do I mail out the packets for EAD and AP renewal (paper extensions)? Can you please tell me whether the packet should be mailed to a service center where previous EAD and AP were approved or whether it depends on the state I live in?
Please note, my original EAD, AP and I-485 were sent to NSC which were transferred to TSC internally (by USCIS) and now my I-485 is pending in TSC.
Any help is appreciated.

My Scenario
-> I entered country on B1 and I applied for H1 through other employer. H1 got approved but change of status is denied as i left the country while petition was with USCIS.
-> I entered country on B1 again with new employer who applied my H1. My I94 validity ended on October 24th and we applied for extension due to some show stopper. Application is still in process.
Here are my questions -
1. Can i apply for change of status now or do i need to go back to India?
2. Now that i applied for extension, if i go for stamping at India immediately, will it be positive? Just because, i stayed for almost around 8 months in US this year. I was just wondering, will they reject it raising doubts on my intent? No one can decide on it, but what are the chances?
3. Staying in Canada on work permit for 6 months and then leaving to India for 3 months and then go for stamping, is this a better option?

A couple of months ago I joined company B and they transferred my H1B.
Now if I want to go back to Company A, do I need to transfer my H1B again?
Company A has not cancelled my H1 and I am in good terms with them.

My lawyer initiated the PERM process late last year, the timeline was such that the prevailing wage request was filed with State Workforce Agency (SWA) on 12-30-2009. The SWA prevailing wage determination was received back by my lawyer on the 1/11/10.
Subsequently the recruitment process started and everything was going smooth. The PERM was supposed to be filed in the first week of April. My lawyer now is saying that they need to push the application filing because of the new rule which came into effect Jan 1st which requires all prevailing wage requests to be filed with the DOL. The rule states that:
On January 1, 2010, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) changed the way that prevailing wage determinations (PWDs) are processed for the PERM, H-1B, H-1B1 (Chile/Singapore), E-3 (Australia), and H-2B programs. PWDs are now issued by DOL�s National Prevailing Wage and Helpdesk Center (NPWHC) in Washington, DC. Below are updated Frequently Asked Questions about the new process.

It's not clear what you really mean.
You say your employer has agreed to file your AOS papers but has not agreed to proceed with the processing. Isn't that one and the same?
Besides you should ask for exactly what the risk is.
Maybe hiring your own immigration attorney or a consult is the best to get your facts straight.

You will get the extension from the CIS here. You will only need to go to Canada if you want the visa stamped on your passport.

I have got exactly the same RFE.....i am going to send the same documents and hoping that this is enough. There was one question that was bothering me on my i485RFE. It started like this...............
Your FORM I485 Application Must be accompanied with two colored Photographs.................
I am confused if they mean that i should re submit the i485 application or just the letter taht came with it.
i also never got any colored sheet as i have heard most of the people got. Is this normal practise or something i should be conserned about
