That's the most disgusting speech I have ever seen, how could he just count the amount of resource immigrants are going to use without considersing how much the economy was bloomed by immigrants?! How could he pretend the immigration policy is a favor to third world contries? The immigration policy had attracted millions of scientists and engineers and hard workers to US, US needs these brians and labors, immigrants need a place to work, that's a simple reciprocal thing, it is shameless and arrogant to say it is a favor to third world contries.

I think Anti immigraiton people will work hard to block any increament in immigraiton. While Latino group will work very hard for amnesty. Common ground will be decrease legal immigration for certain year and allow illegal to be legal first. then resume back to as it is. Also implement enforcement policy and stop illegal immigrants entering into USA.
in the end it will be a win-win situation for them. Who will suffer is : LEGAL IMMIGRANTS. believe me and be ready for tougher laws for H1bs and EAD card holder.. They may eliminate even AC21.
You make good points but, I don't think we will be left out. The general consensus among the American public is that (given the economy is OK) legal immigration is good, illegal is bad. Americans are smart and reasonable, if it is a win-win for all, with the U.S. needing to be the key winner above all. Emotions and politics aside, we have truth on our side, and that truth is that our contributions help the U.S. be a winner. I think we will be fine!

ah.. I saw that thread a bit too late I guess.
I'm not sure if we should prevent messages in sigs though.. even to questionable sites. Are we suddenly PC? no pun intended. I guess it doesn't matter really. The person seems to have taken it lightly enough. I'll just have to remember that links in sigs may be monitored by big brother. :)

People typically file WOM to make government act on their petitions. Usullay done to expedite the name check process (you have to wait at least 2 years I guess to file :) )
The usual story is DAs office will file a motion to dismiss saying District judge lacks jurisdiction over immigration petitions and attorney general has discrtionary power blah blah.....

No I don't mind...and let me tell you if one is sincere there's nothing dumb in any question.
I almost don't want to answer your question because there is risk here assuming you are sincere, you know it or not...you believe it or not there is a danger of you trying to base your opinions on my experience. Someone else's experience should never be our base...it can be an aid though but we got to be smart enough to know whether we are forming a base or using it as an aid.
If you are not sincere but want to judge me I don't want add to your burden...isn't there enough stuff in the society to judge already in the name of religion or something else?
Now coming back to your question I didn't look for what I found( at least consciously).
When I said in my earlier post that I found what I should I was not giving credit to these vidoes/Nithyanada alone .I'm ALSO giving credit to these videos/Nithyananda.That's why I said try if these videos help you in your chosen path.
I found some keys to open the inner space. I found out that I already have some keys in my hand placed there( in my hands) by my SELF. Only I kept throwing them away.But these videos helped me realize that I should hold onto these.That's why I understand Intellectual path as well as I understand religious path.
Concisely I found inner Truth.I've not arrived yet. So I don't want to share anything yet though my post keeps running long.
But I'll tell you everyone should know what their style is. In spiritual path to some people a spiritual Master holds appeal.Some can lead themselves. Let me tell you again drop them if you find no appeal in them.But don't drop them because someone criticized them or out of laziness.
Lot of abstract stuff in a way but when it is inner space answer to 'what did you find?' will not be like 'I found this castle/chocolate house/gold mine :) (if you so want you can create them though)

I am 100% sure of the information provided below;
Fee to be paid to the USCIS has to be paid by the employer.
Legal fee (attorney's) can be paid completely by the employee. When I was at an university initially their system did not allow payment to attorneys and they did not have an immigration attorney so I had to hire one for myself and paid from my pocket. This was for an H1b (original).
If you think about it 80% of the cost is ATTORNEY'S FEE.

Does USCIS issue multiple RFEs on I-485 simultaneously or consecutively? The reason I ask is because both myself and my wife recently got RFEs. Myself because the Doctor forgot to fill in the Tuberculosis details and for my wife about her birth certificate. We have responded to both and the responses are exactly what they requested in the RFE.
Should we now relax and just wait for the PD to be come current and get our GC or is there a possibility of getting more RFEs? When there are multiple issues in an application would USCIS raise all of them simultaneously or wait for the response for the first one before raising the second one? Any one have any experience in this regard?
Its PIT ( Point in time) , so they see u are missing something they issue an RFE, they get the evidence and go to next step... the story goes on

Even though it was for a future job, there is no way any body would have visualized that the job they claim will be available in 5-7 years will be actual there given the economy. If that was the case all GC based on future job will be hard to get.
The point here is "Did the employer have good intention while filing". If they did, I dont think whether the job actual exists after 5-6 years or not matters.
Also everybody has a right to livelihood and if you have a good reason to believe that your job is in jeopardy and can document it, you always can go back and use it as an argument.
DOES ANY BODY KNOW EITHER DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY WHO HAD ISSUES AT NATURALIZATION BECAUSE OF QUITTING THE JOB AFTER GC. or is it a myth

if we IV'ers band together to form our own companies.
Not only will we be able to free ourselves from Consulting companies but also dramatically increase our income and perhaps also use part of the revenue to fund IV's GC objectives. Sort of like a hybrid Venture-Captial-incubator/co-op/lobby group. There must be a precendence somewhere....
Think about it. It's not impossible.
Now with more ppl in 485/EAD limbo there's a huge opportunity to do something like this. The only thing we need are trustworthy/reliable GC/citizens (perhaps ex-IVers?) to solve some minor "legal dillemas".

I have read in "Fortnightly conference calls with Immigration Lawyers" pdf documnets that you can transfer from company A to company B when you are in 7th year H1 with 3years extn. Obviously I140 is approved.
The attorney says, you can switch companies and retain the PD if the earlier employer does not revoke the 140. This is known. My question is
1. Will the 3year H1B extn be valid if the 140 is revoked. If this is not valid, then the company B H1b will also be invalidated. Then you will be outof status. IS THIS TRUE?

I had two LUD's (04/09 and 04/10) on approved I140 (May 3rd 2006). This is due to the system upgrades as mentioned in many threads in different websites.. nothing more..my PD is EB2-Nov 2006..
