Should I call you a desi purist trying to lecture on english language. Maybe you should be the one monitoring the threads:p
Does it look anywhere that I am trying to lecture on the English language.
All I am trying to say is that the title of the thread which is only a few words long can be spell checked at least before posting it. Is it too much to ask for.
I understand if you write a full paragraph or a big post there are bound to be mistakes but in the title itself ... that is too much.
Also there is a big difference between a typing mistake and being careless !
Proficiency in English language comes no where in the picture. Why not write the title in a word document and spell check it and post it.
I have enough faults of my own than to go around policing others but some things are too hard to digest.

I just wanted to share my experience with expired AP based I-94 at Chicago airport. My wife was traveling home and we stopped by at the USCIS registration office at the airport. We asked the officer if my wife needed to do any exit interview. The officer asked to see her passport.
After noticing the expired AP based I-94, he asked "Where is your green card?" and I replied that her greencard is still under process. Then the officer hold the passport against the window and almost yelled at me "Do you see what is the date on this I-94?" to which I politely replied that yes we know but we contacted local USCIS and they assured us that this date is only a formality since my wifes I-485 is still under process, she is allowed to stay in the US until a decision is made about her application.
After hearing my answer the officer calmly said, "Sir, you don't need to do any exit interview."
I am wondering if my wife would face any issue returning back to the US.

I read the news article about George Allen's comments about you ... and it makes me so angry! I am happy to see that you are not ashamed to let the world know that you have been a victim of racial discrimination, and that too from a politician. More power to you man!!!

I have no connection with politics, George Allen, Jim Webb or Sidarth. I just like the maverick attitude of Jim Webb.

Every Indian in India has a Macaca like name. Based on this, I have no reason to complain about George Allen. I don't see why any Indian Indian should complain about it.
Name calling is not acceptable in America and Sidarth is an American citizen. So it is a problem in America specially if it is on camera.

2. What are the risks in doing so?
3. Does the time you were out of country counts towards your h1 or not?
4. What if you are on payroll for 2 employers at the same time? Does this effect in any way while adjucating for 485?

Hi,
Wyckoff Heights Medical center in Brooklyn is an IMG, H1 B friendly hospital. My wife is just completing her residency in Internal Medicine, Please send me a private message. I will talk to her and see if she can forward the resume to her program director. Please note that the hospital expects 90 percentile in USMLE step 1 and 2, they are ok with a lower score in step 3.
Completion of step 3 is a must to get the H1 B approval for residency.
J1 is the only option if step 3 is not cleared.
Paper publication will be of some help.
I wish your brother all the best.

Contacting Senators or Congressman is very easy. Google it and you will get plenty of links to how to find the congressman of your area or senator of your state. Talk to their staff on phone or you can find some link on their web site suggesting how to contact them. Most of the time, the staff will be very very helpful and they will ask you to fax them your issues and then, u need to follow up with them.

Personally, I am not convinced by the 50% rejection logic. It is absurd that 1 out of 2 485s will be rejected after the 140 has been approved. If they are talking about concurrent cases where the 140 is not yet approved, it is absurd again that 1 out of 2 140s are not approved.
So either way, it does not sound right. If this number includes family cases too, then as EB rejection is lower than 50%, family rejection rate should be much higher than 50% for the combined rate to be 50%. That is not believable either.

My friend has the exact same mistake, but this time with her green card. They mistakenly put "male" with her picture on it. She never had it changed and she has used it to travel without any problems. Good luck.

There are many countries specially in middle east which does the same thing. This nation gives you freedom fredom of speech, freedom of peaceful assembly, collectively known as 1st Ammendment and its not restricted to citizen but for all resident.

I have a question. I see the above status for EAD online. While I have received my EAD 4 days ago, my wife hasnt received yet.
Interestingly, i have recieved my biometrics/fingerprinting appointment, while my wife hasnt got that either.
Anybody experience this behaviour? Any reason why this could happen?
